So let me start by saying that I am EXTREMELY happy with my Green E3 200mw.

Now, i have seen the beam very easily under room light, especially nice at night. I have burned through electrical tape, but I haven't been able to light a match? I have tried to light it from several different distances, and even tried colouring the match tip black. These are tried with almost brand new lithium batteries.

Green lasers dont easily burn stuff. And with a 200mW (185mW) Green laser, its almost impossible.
But I think that they CAN burn matches. If it doesn't burn, its sometimes the matches quality fault. The more expensive matches are, the more easy they burn. Just get matches made by a different and more high quality company and try to burn it. If it doesn't work its because its Green...
Hope I helped!

I think, Im not so sure...
But im sure that Green laser are not as good as blues and reds in burning.
When I had bad quality matches, it took me more than 8 second untill my Arctic burns them, but then I got better ones and then they got burned in 2 seconds!
I think before i reply to something, don't forget that. And at least I helped!

*facepalm*

Because of one extremely unreliable test you did suddenly that's the scientific fact? *facepalm* No, just no.

It means you facepalm, and if the information is unreliable and incorrect, how is it helping?

If you have an question on advanced physics I'll answer, but I won't have helped, because I can't give you correct info on advanced physics.

First of all, you broke a rule.
Second of all, you're being a hypocrite. To get rid of all the stuff in the middle, "You're wrong, it's wrong to say someone is wrong, you're wrong."
Third, Maybe laser science changed in the past 2 years, but in my experience and knowledge it is extremely wrong to say that, "green lasers don't easily burn stuff" and that, "a 200mW laser it is almost impossible." A 200mW green laser will burn very well. Also, even if he does say it, is it that whatever Joe says goes and all others must be wrong?

If I break the rule one more time they will delete me from here, but now i read ALL the rules so im never going to break one again!! Don't talk to me! Leave me alone! Please!

I have the same laser. I was never able to light matches with it without using a magnifying glass.

Did you RMA it? My 100mw E3s can burn through paper with fresh batteries without a magnifying glass.

Really? You break a rule then when you're caught for it you yell at me not to talk to you? You do realize just because you tell someone not to talk to you doesn't mean you didn't break a rule, right? Obviously you didn't read all the rules as you just broke a big one. You're confusing me.

When you break a rule you have a second chance and then they kick you out from here.
Ok I Admit it that the topic "Wicked Lasers Are Awesome" was a spam, but come on! It was the first topic that I ever made!! When I wrote my first topic then I went and read all the rules. Ok? Please don't get me angry!
Stop talking to me. I dont want to have any communication with you any more!

You must not have read the rules very well because you... just... broke... one...

It's not that hard. Some people haven't done it in years, you can't manage do it less than twice in a few months. I'm not being angry or rude, so if you got angry or rude with me that would be breaking a third rule.

Also, when someone points out that you broke a rule when you claim to be so diligent about them you can't just tell them not to talk to you and expect it to go away. If you don't want to talk to me that's fine, but as long as I'm not breaking any rules, I'm not going to stop.

So, the way Joe is running this is like a 2 strike system. So, you broke a rule and got a suspension, you supposedly learned your lesson. You broke it again, it looks like now a permanent ban is here. Why should you get special treatment? What should Joe say to the next guy who breaks two rules? What makes you so much more important and special than everyone else?

Ok, just to prevent a flame war here...

A 200mW E3 burns things very well...mine is torching matches, no problem. Even my 50mW Evo Pro burns matches after a short while. So no, a 200mW green laser burns very well.

The color of the laser has nothing to do with burning power unless you are talking about atomic excitation, where the energy of EACH photon will affect your results. Burning anything visible, therefore, has almost nothing to do with the color of the laser.

Thirdly, any match should do, as long as it is colored black and can be ignited. I have ones from like a shady Tennessee gas station from 15 years ago, burns perfectly fine. I also have ones from the Burj Al Arab from last year, burns equally well.

So, sorry to burst your bubble S3 Krypton, but cvbcbcmv is right. Timerider, you probably have a underspec or defective laser. 200mW should burn matches in seconds....try YouTubing it. If it is underspec/defective, RMA it.

Let's not all get mad now....umm The Other Forum can be very biased (39 reasons not to buy from WL, almost all are from the Arctic episode of 2010, so technically that's 5 at most since 30 of them are same "arctic died") and give wrong information, although *generally* the large number of people there quickly corrects any false statements.

Personally, I think a 2-strike system is perfectly fine, although for baseball's sake, 3 strikes??? Not that I am advocating for rule-breaking or anything.... ;) :P :D  B)

Although I do have to say, cvbcbcmv you were kind of blunt to S3 Krypton...
